Kinkaku-ji Temple
Kinkaku-ji Temple was built by Yoshimitsu Ashikaga. He was the third shogun of the Muromachi Shogunate. The construction began in 1397 and was completed in 1399. ( In 1397, Europe was in the midst of the “Hundred Years War” ) Kinkaku-ji Temple was built as the residence of Yoshimitsu Ashikaga. Yoshimitsu Ashikaga traded with the Ming dynasty and made a profit. He won the power struggle and made the heyday of the Muromachi Shogunate.
